Services

The Metal Recovery chain contains demolition, processing, transportation and marketing components. Rose chooses not to directly perform these functions because it would create a built-in conflict of interest with our clients.

Instead, Rose acts as a hands-on agent – sourcing and vetting the necessary contractors and buyers in an effort to bring our clients’ assets to market in a safe, efficient and profitable manner. Our flat published management fees align our financial interests with our clients.

Vendor Vetting and Proprietary Rating Process

A subset, but important part of the Rose service offering, is vendor vetting. Many of our clients are unaware of what makes a good vendor for a specific project. Rose facilitates the entire process, which includes an unbiased vendor vetting process coupled with our proprietary rating system.

Benefits include deploying the exact combination of resources required by the project including: vendor selection, equipment, sales channels, transportation and industry experience and knowledge. The goals are to maximize customer revenues and client experience in the process and minimize the expense and exposure to environmental risks/liabilities.

Our vetting process goes through a 12-step evaluation that matches the project requirements, client interests and optimal value. This best ensures that the resources deployed are the resources needed to get your asset to market safely, efficiently and profitably.

The criteria below are used to create a Rose Vendor Rating Score (VRS) in order to evaluate and recommend the most appropriate vendor for each contractor category such as demo contractor, transporter, processor (mobile and fixed).

Criteria sample:

  • Specific project experience
  • Possible industry segment “sweet spots”
  • Average project size by ton and by dollar amount
  • Certifications/qualifications best practices assessment
  • Protocols and plans in place, (e.g., SWPP, Lock Out/Tag Out, HAZMAT, etc.)
  • Safety manual/program
  • Scrap segregation assessment (downgrades/rejections)
  • Customer satisfaction assessment (previous/Rose assessment)
  • Data quality, timeliness
  • Experience as a general contractor, partner, sub
  • Equipment list
  • Geographic area served
  • Other vetting service reports (e.g. ISNetworld)

Rose handles your Local, Regional, and National corporate footprint with a focus on traceability - reducing liabilities and increasing profits for our clients.

Our sweet spot is large decentralized companies. However, our agency model fits well with a wide variety of companies. Such as:

Rose markets this specialized scrap at the highest possible prices using a unique dynamic auction process. We secure necessary containers, hoppers, on-site processing and consultation for manufacturers.
For the scrap that is continually generated in a plant environment, Rose brings all of the necessary resources to bear, ultimately resulting in the highest possible return and lowest possible HSE risk. Also in keeping with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, we pride ourselves on complete transparency, showing our clients a full breakdown by transaction of all costs and revenue.
We can source, prequalify and provide oversight of all project-related contractors. Our turnkey capabilities, including scrap-metal marketing, demolition contractor selection/oversight and investment recovery, allow our clients to not only control costs, but also have far greater traceability in the entire metal recovery process.
Rose works closely with demolition contractors to manage their scrap, waste streams, and/or salvage equipment sales. Our demolition clients enjoy far better returns based on Rose’s large volume of transactions. We work on a small flat percentage that aligns our financial interests with our clients. We also provide a matching service where demo contractors are matched with projects that Rose has been awarded. You do it already. We can help you do it better.
Rose has significant experience in managing scrap and waste-stream removal as well as investment recovery in marine settings, including platform decommissioning, wreck removal, and abandoned vessel removal.
Rose provides metal-recovery program management services that appeal to the challenging rigors of local, county, state and federal services and agencies. These organizations may require special handling based on lack of funding, public bid requirements, or other stipulations.
Rose has worked closely with insurance companies and pre- or post-bankruptcy overseers to monetize metallic assets involved in insurance claims and bankruptcy liquidations. We employ a full turnkey process, handling sales, removal and document reconciliation.
